Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Tully cost?

Nothing. It’s completely free to you. The businesses on our Network are compensating us for helping you.

What do Tully do with my budget?

Your budget is between you and us. We don’t judge, and we don’t share it with any of your lenders or service providers until you're happy. We'll let your lender or supplier know the outcome of your budget, including an overview of how much you have coming in and going out each month, so that they can provide the right support for you and your current circumstances.

Who can I contact?

If you have any questions, you can get in touch with our support team by emailing [email protected] or by clicking the webchat icon in the bottom right hand of your screen. The team is available from 9am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).

What "financial technology" does Tully use?

The Tully MyBudget product will ask you to connect your bank account and share your bank statements. This doesn't allow anyone to see your passwords or make changes to your account, but gives the system a "read-only" view of your bank statements so that it can fill in the categories in your budget for you. This technology is called "Open Banking".

Tully MyBudget also uses a friendly budget assistant named "Sadie" to help make sure all the information in your budget are correct. Sadie will ask you questions throughout the budget building journey, giving you multiple opportunities to change things if your budget doesn't look right.

What is Open Banking?

Open Banking is a secure way to get access to financial service tools, products and providers and has been developed by the UK's largest banks. It is only ever used if you give your explicit consent.

By giving your consent it allows you to get more personalised money management tools and in Tully’s case build an accurate budget to get support from your lenders or suppliers

How Tully started...

We launched in March 2018 as the first completely digital debt adviser in the UK licensed by the Financial Conduct Authority. Over the course of a year we helped over 13,000 people build a budget online to understand their financial circumstances and if needed provide and set-up debt advice.

In March of 2020, when Coronavirus was starting to take its toll on the UK, we made the decision to pause our debt advice service and focus on supporting people through rapidly changing and uncertain times. We now work with partner companies to help make sure customers get the right support for their unique situations.

If you're struggling with debts, you can find support at PayPlan, who have been offering free debt advice for 25 years and currently help over 100,000 people every year to get their finances under control. You can access their free, confidential advice service either online or over the phone. For details, visit the website here.
